CADEM has released information regarding voting in the upcoming Congressional District Caucuses. These caucuses will allow you to elect delegates to represent you at that upcoming national convention in Chicago. You will be voting on an electronic ballot.
Quick Summary
- You must register as a voter in the upcoming election
- You will receive a PIN needed to cast your ballot
- You will receive a ballot on the weekend of the election
- You must return your ballot within 48 hours
- Winners will be announced later
Background
I am running to be a District Level Delegate for the Joe Biden campaign. I want to represent the voters of California’s 3rd Congressional District at the Democratic National Convention that will take place in Chicago later this year. District Level Delegates are elected directly by the voters in California’s congressional districts.
That’s where you come in.
The Details
Below are the steps needed to participate in this electronic caucus election.
Register as a Caucus Voter
You must register as a caucus voter to take part in this election. Visit the Congressional District Caucus: Voter Registration page and complete the application. You will receive a PIN number (via email) that you will use to submit your ballot.
KEEP THIS PIN IN A SAFE PLACE
Receive Your Ballot
Beginning on Friday, April 19, 2024, all electronic ballots will be sent to all participants to the email they applied with.
Cast Your Ballot
All participants will have 48 hours to cast their ballots before the ballot period closes on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 5PM.
You will need your PIN to cast your ballot. Keep it handy.
Receive the Results
Following the tallying of ballots, all participants (candidates and voters) will be notified of election results.

We Have Work To Do! (June 2018 Version)
Register. Learn. Vote.
I had a great time at Auburn’s (California) Big Auburn Pow Wow. I chatted with people from groups that work with Native Americans (and others) to provide basic services, like health care, to many who would do without otherwise. I also had the opportunity to meet veterans from the Korean war and onward. There were a surprisingly large number of native veterans in attendance.

Eyes on the Prize
As some of you may know, I’m active with my local Democratic party. I’m a member of the Placer County Democratic Central Committee. With the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, we’ve had a tremendous increase of interest in our Democracy. This is a good thing. This new interest has sparked tremendous growth in activism and participation in many local organizations. But, as is often the case, with new growth come growing pains.
